Note: Anywhere in the admin section that says Enter Url, you can either enter a full url(http://somesite.com/images/file.jpg) for externally hosted files/images, or the filename if the image already exists in the respective folder(file.jpg).
If you want your maps to just display on the main page, dont add any categories.

Adding Categories: Fill out title, category, and details(optional) and image. When entering an image, it is important to only use only 1 of the 2 fields or you will get errors.

Editing Categories: Edit the fields of choice. When uploading a new image, it is important to empty the Enter Url filed before submitting the new image. The delete old image checkbox can be used if you want to delete the old image after uploading/changing filename. You will also have the option to delete the image when you delete the category. Maps under the deleted category will be homeless until they are deleted or edited.

Images that need thumbnails: This section checks modules/Maps/images/maps and modules/Maps/images/maps/thumb to make sure all full size images have a thumbnail. If not they will show up here along with a button generate the thumbnails.

Maps waiting for approval: Lists all of the maps your users submit. Clicking 1 will take you to a screen where you can check out the submission. If the user uploaded an image/file, it will just show up as a file name(image.jpg/file.zip) with a random 5 digit number in front. This is done for an extra measure of security to keep users from finding their file and executing it before an admin verifys it is a safe file. The image and file fields so admins can verify the image and file are appropriate. If the image/file is an external url, there will be an option to copy to your own server into the appropriate directory.
