If you would like to beta test this new backup script, please register/login and post here.
Bufada is the successor to highly popular Advanced Nuke backup.
Please note that the script will be encoded using the ioncube encoder.
Most servers will have no trouble running the encoded files,
you will just need to install the ioncube loaders. I am
available to help install the loaders if needed.
Thank You |

Thank you very much
I had the the code on a temporary lockdown to send to testers but I decided to add some more features. I just need to finish those up real quick and I'll email you the package tomorrow. |

We made an attempt to install the backup script. However it just started a continuous backup which slowed our web site to a crawl.
If we can be of help in testing this program we would like to use it.

Hey guys... just wondering if this app is still being developed?
I had some problems with the advanced backup mod when I tried to recover from a old backup. some of the sql was different and it wouldn't let me insert it in mysql. I had to copy and paste certain bits around to make it work. also the autoback likes to go crazy and make backups every few min
cheers |

Yes, it is still being developed(it's my baby ). I've recently made some major changes to the code and I'm now working at bringing it back to a stable (enough) state to release another beta. I will definitely post here when I get that ready. Thanks.
BTW, this script addresses those issues(among many others) that are present in the old advanced backup. |

Well I'll have to add my name to the list
Will this be purely a back up and restore script? I was perhaps wondering if it might (one day) have a DB comparson function, now that would be even more groovy |

It will be mostly a backup and restore script. Initially, I was going to add some functions to manage files and folders, but on some setups owner/permissions get all screwy. As it is right now, it is basically only a backup script that allows you to create custom backup sessions (selecting which files/folders or tables to be backed up) and it does those backups incrementally to avoid loading down the server and risking a timeout. I hope to be able to get back to work on this sometime this year |
