How about a block (module for Joomla!) that displays last set number from admin of added products horizontally?
Also be able to set catid so it pulls the last X products from Cat X |

Im very happy with the shop !
http://www.clan-themes.co.uk/shop.html
This might be a bit daft, im not sure .. but maybe the ability to add a instructions page ...
like we have done in our shops header ... we get so many dam questions on how to download and install a theme that was purchased that i added the page via another module i made up "extras" you could just call it "Download Instructions" and make an editable field in the admin configuration area so we could edit it to our personal preferences..
Just an idea...as i said im really very happy with the outcome and all of its great features !
Nice work Gotcha |

Sorry, I know this is going off topic but although you can include instractions in the download itself, for example 'how to install a theme' but keeping people coming back to your site is a good thing |

I seem to have a slight problem with the add client and the drop down
please see picture
As you can see if im wanting to add a user to a product , its a nightmare to be honest with 3000 users and growing it takes ages to look through as the list as its not set to alphabetical order.
Perhaps a search for user could be implemented in the new release ? or revert to the old search by id ?
As its doing my head in now anyway!!
A fix for this would be very nice please... |

By the looks of that it does appear as though the relevant sql statement is sorting by user_id (numeric value) rather than username. Unfortunately I have not been able to find it so hopefully Gotcha can put us right on that one.
Good catch though, it could be very tedious when there are a lot of clients. |

Just to be a complete pain, I'd like visitors to be able to buy stuff without actually registering at the site.
How tight is the inegration betwwen the users account and the shop? I'm assuming the stand alone would allow this facility?
I only ask because I'm careful to only approve user accounts with none free email addresses but now I think about it, this policy means I'm also limiting who can buy stuff from the shop. I can always be a little looser with my memberhip approval but wanted your feedback frst. |

I've tried that in the past and it ended up being somewhat of a mess. It(mp3/video store) was set up so that the purchaser would enter their paypal email they used to purchase along with a password. Upon purchase an email was sent to the user with the links to their purchased files and instructions for downloading. Relying on emails to relay the important info was a big mistake because a huge number of people weren't getting those emails. Some because their paypal email addy was old and unchecked and other because of blacklists/spam filters(maybe because the email body had links to 10-15 files sometimes).
It is definitely possible with any version of the shop, but I have avoided it like the plague for the reasons stated above Also, it is pretty much standard procedure across the web to make users register when making purchases, so potential customers will normally expect to register to complete the purchase. |
