I did an OS reload on our box last weekend to upgrade plesk. then reinstalled our database and reloaded the web and everything is working great accept now when I try to edit a map as administrator I get the following error.
Please ensure you have granted proper permissions, review the install.txt file for instructions! - 002
Alll the correct folders are chmod 777
Any Ideas?

Have you tried 755?
Did you make changes to your php.ini or did you save your old one to use?
What OS are you using now? |

That is strange. Does it happen when you aren't uploading files? Were you on a *nix system before? Windows is sometimes a little wierd about things that work fine on any other OS. You also may want to compare your old php.ini with your new to make sure the problem isn't with the settings. |

no NIX I have always been WIN the restore was same OS 2k3. It is only effecting the edit feature it seems. If I make a mistake when adding a setting then it will not allow me to edit it. I will compare the php.ini this weekend then repost. I have a test site up now for PNC 3.0.0.b and it is doing the same thing on the test site after the move over. The one thing I have to check on tonight is I believe there was a database entry in maps for a map file that is not in there now due to an older web file restore than the database not sure if that could cause this or not, but I will look into it tonight. Also did you see my post on a request for a feature? I would kill for another url link on the add page with a name section to where I could enter a name then attach a url to it for stats. |

Yes, I did see the feature request. I have quite a bit of work backed up and need to get caught up before I make any updates. However, I have a friend who may take on the task and also look for anything that would cause an error when editing maps. |

Looks like I figured it out. With the new Plesk install and new php.ini file, Registered Globals were turned off looks like the Map Manager needs them on. |
