VBulletin would be awesome so I can quit using these crap PHP-Nuke CMS. I haven't switched yet because I love Digital Shop and don't really want to have to run a stand-alone just to run VB.

Thanks in advance for making it work in VBulletin Wink

Yeah, its not dead, otherwise it wouldn't be here. I wouldn't keep paying the bills if I didn't have some sort of plan Wink Basically, 2.0.9 has sort of been scrapped and I'm doing a complete rewrite... again

Do you have an idea of when it will be done, like 4 months, a year, or you don't know. Also is their going to be a licensing system included.

I have an idea gotcha

Im basicly adding 3 items that use the same preview image, but ive found that there seems to be no way of sharing the same images across all 3 items... (unless im dumb(dont laugh))

Anyway a small addition to allow the use/sharing of images already uploaded/link to would be nice instead of having to upload the same image over and over.

Hope you are okay as well, not spoken for a while

Kind regards

Ped

How about support to set up subscriptions?

Like a checkbox that when you check the box, when they order the product it sets them up with a subscription!

Thanks,
- Koshy

That's a bit hard... Digital Shop has the ability to use more than 1 paypal email account for purchases, we have 4 sellers on our site so that's 4 different emails being used... typically if someone brought 2 items from 2 different sellers Paypal cant handle that yet and nor would subscriptions work...

It would work if the shop was just using 1 email address though

Safe mode is a thing of the past my friend...

Also, Ioncube is the part that doesn't allow safe mode. If your host is relying on safe mode I would consider moving to a competent host right away

Suggestions:

First off, get the bugs out. I've had so many error messages it's hard to count.

Second, clean up the HTML markup. It looks very sloppy. Tables in tables, etc.

Third, make it easier to create a theme.

Ive never ever had any errors with the shop, and we have been using it since 2006... And what is wrong with tables in tables ? i agree its slightly a little more code for your browser to read, but whay its not that bad surely ?

We have modified our shop ever so slightly, it really isn't that hard to modify... the question is what is wrong with the original layout ?

I think you may need to list the errors you have had so Gotcha can respond... you just cant say fix the errors... what errors ?

You'll have to post what error messages that you are getting other then the one you have another post about.

The html markup, while you may think it is sloppy, validates on a default install.

I can agree with you on it being somewhat difficult to make a theme because you would have to learn about the smarty template engine. Smarty is being phased out and the next version will have a simpler pure php template system. That being said, to make a new theme, you would want to copy the templates/default(or ds_blue) theme to a new folder and work from that. The most common files to customize are:
header/footer.tpl along with the style.css
shop/main.tpl
shop/item.tpl
shop/purchase.tpl

I'd be happy to answer questions along the way to help get you going.

Nuke isn't old, it's dead and has been since October 2007. Having said that, I'm still maintaining the code on sourceforge as the project owner.

Most people are now using RavenNuke (tm).
