Themes or how to modify my show

As usual, my expertise is lacking. I'd like to give my shop a new look at or at least modify it to comply with the look of my website. What are my options? Can I download themes? How can I get into and change the banner color and stuff. Any help would be appreciated.

Basically your options would be:

Make a theme yourself(which not many people do, but its not hard if you know what you're doing).
Hire someone to convert your html template to the shop.
Modify one of the included themes by editing images and changing .css

What file should I look for modify in the shop? I can probably play with that.

the main files to edit will be in the folder templates/XXX/ and are:

header.tpl
style.css

Also the images folder is in that same location if you need to edit images.

Make a backup of the entire theme before editing anything, in case you mess up.
