Is there a method of telling Map Manager to use multiple exsisting folders?

Example: We have 23 different folders for the various game types and maps that we support. We have spent a very long time keeping them separated.

It would be nice if we could just inform Map Manager which folders we are currently using for which category. Is this currently possibly?

v6.5 PHP-Nuke (no plans on upgrading as the entire site is customized 150%).

Thanks and nice coding folks!

What version of map manager do you have? I didn't think map manager would run on 6.5 but the old maps management v2 does....

ok, this may not be an easy way, but until the next version, this is how you would have to do it.

put all your existing folders into one central folder, for this example we will use custom as the folder name. now go in to the configuration and set Map files directory with custom. so inside this custom folder lets just say you have a bunch of subfolders and one is named CTF

now when you add the maps, in the "Enter URL" field enter CTF/whateverfile.zip and it will automatically append custom to the front of that to show the actual path.... custom/CTF/whateverfile.zip

btw, Maps Management is obsolete and the reason it has a new name is because i completely rewrote it and it barely even resembled the old one.

Very good; that is close to what we do currently. I will do that very thing right now and report back here the results (thereby helping anyone else with sim. isues).

Kind Regards,

The above statement is what I get after altering the paths. Do my current folders require CHMOD to 777 ??

that error probaly means the path isn't right.

give me a path to directly download a map, then show me what you put in the enter url field

ok so the path you put in for the map file should be...

Code:
JOe/TheRush.zip

if this is what you already have done, try to chmod 777 those folders downloads and JOe.

you could also put the full path in like you posted for you current method

Thx very much - that nor works nicely with v6.5 of PHP-Nuke. Too bad I have to re-enter all the data in for every single folder/file (cuz we have 600+ files in 23 folders). Yikes.. it will be a while before we get this new system online.

Update: We are working on getting everything transfered into the new system. It is going well, although we have made a few alterations along the way.

Maps images directory: downloads (original)

Maps images directory: downloads/MapPics (/thumbs)

It turned out to be easier to have them all in one folder (pics atleast).
