when i try to backup the files it takes me to a blank screen.
it backs up the sql database fine, it also emails it ok which is great, i only have the problem with the files.
it did actually back the files up once onto my server, but i deleted that file and now if i try to backup i get an error message.

Make sure your backup folder is chmod to 777.
Also, if you have error reporting turned off, it may be hiding the real cause of the problem. |

My guess is the file is probably too big to email or the script is timing out due to server restrictions. |

the backup size on the server is only 4MB so i wouldnt think it would be a problem.
I can just copy back anyway so doesnt really matter.
thanks for the script, good stuff |

This is my problem too.
The only way i can avoid to obtain a blank page is to disable either compression and emailing.
I think that there is something not working with these two features.
For autobackup test i inserted manually a rawtime into the lastback field.

It is probably timing out when trying to compress and email the backup. |
