Map file permisions - After uploading map and image files it writes file permissions as 600 instead of 644 and I have to manually change to be able to view maps on my sight. How do I fix this?

After uploading map and image files it writes file permissions as 600 instead of 644 and I have to manually change to be able to view maps on my sight.
How do I fix this?
