Gotcha,
I put my license in a .dat file using wordpad and saving as unicode.
The installer program validated my licenses it but when i finished the installation process I get the error:
The encoded file /home/acuityco/public_html/acuityconsulting.org/lib/init.php requires a license file.
The license file /home/acuityco/public_html/acuityconsulting.org/license/licdata.dat is corrupt.
Can you help?
Also this is a test site, i plan on designing it here then moving it to my final domain later. that's easy to do right?
Thanks,
Matt |

For the corrupt license make sure that there are no blank lines at the end of the file as that can sometimes corrupt it. If it still doesn't work, just try saving it as normal in word or use a different editor if you have one(just don't use notepad).
As for the test site, is the domain going to change when you are done testing?
If you have already set your license up to run on the test site then changing to your final domain will cause license issues. Just pm me when that time comes and we'll get it worked out. |

I thought i would share what worked for me with the forum. Using wordpad, i saved as a text document and named the file licdata.dat.
Saving as unicode text does not work.
Yes, gotcha, I plan on uninstalling from my current domain and would like to update my license for the ultimate domain name I choose for the store...will pm you at that time.
thanks, |
