Hey guys first off i'd like to say well done on what you do around here, you're all very talented.

But as for my shop not opening... i installed it and it all went fine except from step 2 which didnt change from "Checking database connection..." but i fixed that and step 4 which it came up with ../shopfiles folder is missing.

But when i go into my site admin and click Digital Shop it comes up with an error:

[05-02-08 12:13:09 am][2](Line:55) require_once(PEAR.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory [/home/eagle/public_html/includes/MDB2.php]

I did most of the fixes and edits except from 2 or 3 which i couldnt find the code... But i figured its something to do with the shopfiles folder.

Any help is very much appreciated.

EDIT: I tried going into constants.php and changing SHOP_DEBUG to "false" but it just came up with a blank white page instead of the error.

To fix the error, you basically just have to upload a file. Please see the following post for a link to download the file and where to upload.

As for the shopfiles folder, you can set that to anything you would like as long as it points to a valid folder. By default, shopfiles is located one folder above your site root, but not everyone has access to this location. To CHMOD, you normally use your FTP program (right click the file and look for CHMOD or permissions) or your Control Panel.

you are a god. lol

i did actually upload that file before but i just didnt replace the code in constants.php with the fix i put in at the start. heh heh

But for the shopfiles folder do i chmod it to 700 or leave it on 755?

And it came up with a big header error but i fixed that by changing SHOP_DEBUG to false.

Thanks man

The lower you can set the CHMOD the better. If you set it too low you'll know it because you won't be able to upload or downloads won't work. 700 may work depending on your server setup, but the only way to know for sure is to try it out.
